Summer of Color

I've given in - I finally bought a gelli plate. I experimented with some pages torn out of my old pharmacy ledger from 1917 and I made a ridiculous mess, but had a lot of fun.  One of the pages was done primarily with pinks and orange, and as those are the colors for this week's Summer of Color, hosted by the lovely Kristin at Twinkle Twinkle, I thought I'd join in and paint a face on it..

I love this paper so much because it's so strong it can take anything, and I just love the old handwriting that shows through.

  3. WOW. Talk about impressed. I'm in love. Your lady is so feminine and demure. Her eyes tell everything and nothing. They are so mysterious and sincere at the same time.

I hope you have more fun with your Gelli than I've had with mine.

  5. That´s great she´s looking innocent and old/wise at the same time. I never tried out a gelli plate before but it sounds like having a lot of mess but fun ...

  6. Gorgeous! I have found that prints from the gelli plate often make good backgrounds. My problem is when I get out the gelli plate, I keep printing and printing...it's addictive.
