Finished at last!

Finally, I've finished a journal, only the 3rd I've ever completed I think.  I have at least 4 or 5 others started, I'm very fickle when it comes to journals, so this is quite an accomplishment for me. I was looking through it yesterday, realizing how much my art has changed since I started it, which was probably at least 4 years ago.

These pages have no continuity in subject or medium, they're kind of crazily random, just whatever I felt like doing, or was in front of me and inspiring me at that moment.  And I'm not sure what I want to work on next, probably not much as I'm out of town for the next 4 weekends. Then, amazingly, the Holidays will be upon us!

I hope you're all getting some Autumn to enjoy, we're just getting teased with it here, but I feel it coming!

  1. Congratulations on finishing your journal - an achievement I have yet to reach!

'Never forget' is amazing, very dark and very brooding.

I love that your pages are crazily random :)

The mornings and evenings are telling us that Autumn is on its way but during the day it's still sunny and warm. We're planning to have a pre-winter tidy up of the garden tomorrow (it'll probably rain!).

  2. Well done on finishing your journal - the work is amazing. I love 'Never Forget' - the face is mesmerizing. I also love the foliage drawings, so delicate and fragile, and very beautiful.
I think crazily random pages are the way to go! I hope your weekends away are very enjoyable - have fun!

  4. (Belated) congratulations. It is such a good feel to complete or 'retire' a journal.

I have to confess to sometimes gluing pages together towards the end of a journal, don't tell anyone ;)

I love all of your 'crazily random' pages.... you always amaze me with your variety.
