These are shots from our campsite, we were right on the lagoon and on the other side of that is the beach and the ocean. We've never been able to see and hear the ocean from our site before. The bottom picture is of a wedding tent that we watched get put up - lovely spot for a wedding and they got really lucky with the weather...
We were entertained by lots of ducks, pelicans and squirrels on the other side of the fence - our dog Guinness was also very entertained, and thank goodness for the chicken wire preventing him from getting to the other side! He'd freeze into position and watch the squirrels for hours. Our Bassett Hound couldn't care less.
Momma and babies trying to get to the other side of the wire (they made it safely through)

A gull looking covetously at our lunch overlooking the Bay
The fishing boat comes in, of great interest to the birds

For those of you who made it to the end of this post - thanks for indulging me! Back to real life and some art this week...
Wonderful photos Terri....
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so beautiful and how fantastic to get together with family. Your niece and nephew look sweet :)
Great wildlife photographs.... that seagull looks evil! (Though I'm sure if you got to know him he'd be ok!) The pelicans are amazing...
Thanks for sharing!

ps missed you at SOC for the last week.... but ... hooray.... Kristin is hosting a SOC 3 in 2013 :)
It looks like you had a wonderful time - those views are fantastic - I love the sunset shot - it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGuinness is gorgeous - we used to have a springer spaniel that was obsessed with wildlife - I love how they quiver with excitement when they are watching it - she used to forget she was rather 'cuddly' and had no chance at all of catching anything - but it never stopped her hoping!
They are great photos and it looks a lovely place to visit - thanks for sharing them.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful location for a wedding, I'm so pleased for the happy couple that the weather stayed good for them.
Looking forward to seeing your next arting project,
