I love all the pieces but of course the butterfly one and the butterfly and moth one stole my heart - absolutely exquisite. I love Rebecca Sower's work, I really only know her for her textile pieces and I had no idea she did online classes - I might have a mooch around and find out about them, although I'm wary of paying for classes as I often just don't have the staying power to keep going with them.
I hope you have wonderful times with the newest member of your family and I hope you'll share plenty of photos of him for me to oooh and aaah over!
Diana xxDiana Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02475927836717719695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6233512693620098836.post-43905005464070471542019-06-26T00:12:29.551-07:002019-06-26T00:12:29.551-07:00What yummy pics! And I really 'get' the dog - I don't know why and I can't explain it either but I love it and feel it's 'right'!! The idea of a scribble class sounds great fun and the angel is so sweet, the scribbles add an ethereal look to her - it reminds me of many moons ago at art college it was suggested if starting a new piece of work that we grubby our hands up with charcoal and just rub the paper to take the whiteness away - or even gently rub the long side of a chalk or graphite pencil across the paper and then smudge - anything to mess the paper up before drawing. I must say I still find it helps now for larger pieces of work.
Thank you for your visit to mine earlier - yes I do fire the clay at home with a kitchen blow torch, it's great fun and I'm loving it at t the moment - the silver clay is a little pricey to be doing too often and if I wanted to to do bigger pieces I would need a kiln, but using a kitchen torch keeps it affordable.
Keep on with the 'starting' - it's always the hardest part isn't it!
Diana xxDiana Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02475927836717719695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6233512693620098836.post-60715229480896500652019-02-23T08:43:57.734-08:002019-02-23T08:43:57.734-08:00I love it when I see a post from you pop up....

I do so love your vintage style from that tiny adorable little shoe to the old tool box of shiny baubles and I love the term Shiny Brights, I've never heard it before but it's perfect to describe them! And wow, the dinosaur is definitely something I would want if my house was big enough - there's something fascinating about old bones, I've collected many over the years but found nothing that big in our local forest unfortunately!
Thank you so much for you visits to my blog and your kind supportive comments throughout the year. I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful Christmas and I hope you manage to sneak in a teeny bit of creative artiness over the holidays - your mojo is looking good if your home is anything to go by!
Diana xxDiana Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02475927836717719695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6233512693620098836.post-82835750743809392442018-12-19T05:26:43.279-08:002018-12-19T05:26:43.279-08:00Oh Terri I really enjoyed this post .....
